This exam is designed to measure your knowledge of .NET development fundamentals and is not tied to a particular version of .NET. The 70-536 covers application development, including the planning and management phases of development. The exam actually can be taken in three development languages, including C#, VB.Net, and standard C++. Candidates for this exam work on a team in a medium-sized or large development environment that uses Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise Developer, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, or Microsoft Visual Studio 2008.
